The V-Squad was now an effective fighting unit for the Rebellion. We were grinding through missions, acquiring faction points, doing our part for the Cries of Alderaan storyline, and exploring every corner of the galaxy.
We used our downtime to explore our individual side businesses, with Cyra still determined to make it as a droid engineer, Nikki becoming a more effective dancer, or Mileena pursuing her medical career.
Our Squad-Fu was strong.
As good as we were becoming as a fighting machine, we knew we would eventually hit a glass ceiling due to our small size. A full recruitment campaign would not suit our needs, though.
It wasn't that we were elitists, but we wanted to be careful not to spoil what we built by changing the group dynamics. What I mean to say is: we wanted to make sure we could find guildmates that were as comfortable hanging out in a camp as in a pitched battle; with casting a fishing line as carving up an Imperial base.
Our first recruit was actually someone we had met while shopping for weapons. She had a store just outside Anchorhead and was a supporter of the Rebellion. She joined us for a hunt or two after we loaded up at her store. This was some time ago before we had even formed the squad officially.
Here she is pictured seated amongst the crew, and for the life of me I can't make out her name.
She wasn't interested in joining any guild, preferring to remain solo. I didn't pressure her, but in my mind I was bound and determined to get a weaponsmith for the team. I thought it was a glaring deficiency.
See what I mean: we squad leaders had to actually become our profession! A squad leader did not simply log out of the game. You can tell from the picture above, I loved every minute of it. Don't let me tell you otherwise!
The second consideration was a fellow named Todeki Bhokov. He was someone Nikki met; a commando I believe. He used some pretty heavy weapons and may have even out-damaged Phantom. (Nah!)
I have no pictures of him, but I have this one image where his name appears in our group attacking... well... it appears we are attacking a wall! (And from the spatial log from Vincer, a female one).
We finally hit the wall. (/rimshot).
Todeki was a good combatant, but didn't mesh very well with our group dynamics. He didn't fall in with the rest and was a bit of a loose cannon. No harm done, though. He eventually went his own way, maybe sensing that we weren't recruiting.
But before he left, he and the squad shared some very intense combat action on Dantooine. Maybe tomorrow, I'll tell you all about it.

I must say...I performed a Google search for my old SWG character and this is the only thing that came up. It was really cool to see my old character in this post! I remember hanging out with VSQD a few times back in those days. Hope you've been well!
